ANATOMY LESSON IN A HELICOPTER is a dance solo for a failed dancer. Accompanied by a video-projectionist, I invite the audience on a journey around a variety of paradigms created by occidental culture in relationship to the human body understood as an artistic object. Challenging pirouettes performed by figure skaters and gymnasts intertwine with the subversive wounds self-inflicted by live art pioneers and the search for harmony undertaken by New Age practitioners. The result is a promenade –with some of the great bodies of the 20th century, which abruptly takes hold of the scene to end up by distorting my own biography.
